Staff Information
Applications to be on the 2011 NYLT course staff are now being accepted!!
You must be an NYLT graduate and have your unit leader's approval in order to serve on the NYLT youth staff. This year, we will also be taking applications to serve on the NYLT adult staff. Wood Badge training is preferred, but is not required to be part of the adult staff.
Refer to the NYLT Leadership Roles and Responsibilities document below to learn more about the leadership roles on the course. As part of the application process, please indicate if you would like to be part of Course Week #1 (June 12 - 18), Course Week #2 (June 19 - 25), or both weeks (June 12 - 25). If you would like to serve on staff for both course weeks, every effort will be made to have you fill the same role each week. However, changes may have to be made between weeks, based on the applications received. Staff applications are due by September 15th, 2010.
Offer letters for NYLT youth staff positions will be in the mail by October 1. Please make sure that you review, and can attend, the staff development weekends listed below before you accept the staff position that was offered to you. Applicants will have until October 15th, 2010 to accept or decline the staff position offered. If you have not responded by October 15, it will be assumed that you are not interested and we will look to fill the position with someone else.

- 02/04 - 02/06: Staff Development #1 at Beaumont Scout Reservation (troop lodge)
- 04/08 - 04/10: Staff Development #2 at Beaumont Scout Reservation (troop lodge)
- 05/07: Participant Orientation at GCC Service Center
- 05/20 - 05/22: Staff Development #3 at Beaumont Scout Reservation (NYLT World)
- 06/12 - 06/18: Course Week at Beaumont Scout Reservation
- 06/19 - 06/25: Course Week at Beaumont Scout Reservation
